Make This Easy Heart Necklace with Hearty Clay

Create this easy and colorful heart necklace with air-dry Hearty Clay.


Materials Needed:
  • Clay roller
  • Clay cutters (heart)
  • White Hearty Clay
  • Water-based markers
  • Black Sharpie pen or another permanent marking pen
  • Glossy spray sealer
  • Black cording
  • Gold leafing pen
  • 20 gauge wire (optional)
  • Stylus or skewer to make holes

Directions
Roll white Hearty Clay to 1/4" thickness.
Cut heart from clay with large clay cutter.
With stylus, make 2 holes to attach cording.
Let heart air dry (about 24 hours). Turn heart a couple of times during drying.

With a permanent black marker, draw a design on cured heart.   Use above photo as guide.
Add color to design with various markers.
Color edge sides with gold marker pen.

Spray with sealer. Let dry and spray again.
Coil wire and attach as shown on one of the hearts (optional).
Cut black cording to desired length.  String through pre-made holes to complete necklace.
